John Waugh
Director
After 23 years in banking in both New Zealand and Australia, John has practiced for the past 13 years in Devonport. He has practiced as a solicitor in both Auckland and Sydney where he was a specialist in banking and finance.
John lives in Matakana and is available for consultation in the wider Rodney area.
Outside of work John enjoys hunting and fishing, cooking and art. He is also the Chairman of Abilities Group based on the North Shore which is a non-profit group dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities through meaningful work and is also a trustee of the RSA Memorial Trust in Devonport.
Margaret Hickton-Burnett
Director
Margaret has been working as a lawyer for over 20 years including five years in London where she practised commercial and employment law.
Since her return to New Zealand in the early 2000’s, Margaret’s legal practice has included relationship property, trusts and estates, and civil litigation.
Outside of work Margaret enjoys the outdoors, cooking, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Trudie has been with Dev Law since its inception in 2015. Trudie’s legal career spans more than 30 years over which time she has gained experience in all areas of the law. Trudie works in the areas of conveyancing/estates/wills and relationship property and also ensures the smooth running of the office as well taking care of the trust accounting.
Outside of work Trudie enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and friends and a spot of fishing when she gets the chance.
